FAREWELL, MR CRUMPLER

At the end of term we all said a fond farewell to Mr Crumpler, who has been Headteacher at Wyke Primary School for 21 years.

The children hosted a special assembly for him where he was given lots of gifts, including acrostic poems and a jar of memories.  They also serenaded him with a specially-written song (by Mrs Turvey) called ‘We Will Miss You’.

Thank you to all of you who so kindly gave donations through our covert ‘Operation Mr Crumpler’! With your incredible generosity, we were able to present him with a very special day’s cookery course at River Cottage as well as an outdoor rocking chair for his garden, where he can sit and think of everyone at Wyke!  (Pictures below.)

Mr Crumpler has taken up a part-time position as a school advisor with Somerset County Council.  Although we will miss him hugely, we wish him every success in his new adventure.

Thank you Mr Crumpler, for everything you have done for Wyke over the past 21 years.
